Development marks

The enterprise was founded in 1944. In it more than 60-year-long history reflects the entire progress of world space rocketry. From creation of military strategic missile units to the spacecraft for peaceful development of space created on the basis of military missiles.

1951 year
Commencement of mass production of strategic military missiles.

1953 year
The first batch of liquid jet engines for anti-aircraft missiles was produced. The first fire tests of the engine were completed.

1957 year
There are begun design-search works on creation of a carrier rocket for start Companions

1961 year
The unified land-based rocked was launched in Baykonur space launching site.

1967 year
Representatives of nine countries signed in Moscow the Program of Peaceful Space Exploration and Utilization.

1971 year
Orion-1, created along with the French Space Center, was launched.

1986 year
The process of contact butt-seam welding of shells was implemented for the first time in the world.

1995 year
The Agreement between the USA, Russia, Ukraine and Norway was signed to produce and launch space carriers «Zeniths« under the «Sea Launch» Program.

1999 year
The successful launch of "Zenith-3SL" missile with the US satellite on board was implemented from the sea platform in the Pacific.

2002 year
Production of the new generation of micro-satellites was commenced.

2006 year
The highest qualiti of products manufactured by Yuzhmash – assemblies of chassis, Cyclone-2 and Zenith-3SL missile carriers – was distinguished by four Honors Diplomas and the Golden Mark “The best Ukraninian goods of the year”.

April 2007
Prestigious international gold prize "For quality". Yuzhmash it is noted, as the leader of space-rocket branch in Ukraine, constantly raising quality of production.

August 2007
Yuzhmash became the participant of an air show "Max-2007" who has taken place in Moscow suburbs.

October 2007
Has been made rebranding. The new logo of Yuzhmash is developed and patented.
