K. Vlasov, director of DAZ in 1947-1950

7 May, 1947 a new director of DAZ K. Vlasov was appointed, who until then was the chief engineer of the Gorky Automobile Plant named after Molotov. While Vlasov’s heading the plant first met the production program. The plant was built and entered into operation new production facilities and most importantly, DAZ has begun series production of automotive technology (ZIS-5, DAZ-150 «Ukrainian»; truck K-31, K-32; DAZ-485 «Amphibia» ; ZIS-150; molding machine FM-300). In parallel with the construction of DAZ has been begun construction of housing. April 19, 1950 By the order of the Minister of the automobile and tractor industry of the USSR G. Hlamov, Vlasov was removed from his post as director and appointed director of ZIS.

K. Vlasov was awarded with Orders of Lenin, the Red Banner of Labor, World War II I degree, Red Star, and he was awarded the military rank of colonel-engineer.
