Okean-O

Okean-O satellite was deployed into orbit on July 17, 1999. The satellite is designed for receiving of remote sensing data, which is crucial for research of natural resources of Earth and world Ocean, its mission also includes ecological monitoring and management of externalities (weather forecast, hazards prevention).
