Undercarriage assemblies
Undercarriage assemblies designed for installation onto the regional passenger airplane AN-140 with taking-off weight up to 21,5 t.
The design of the undercarriage assemblies allows to operate the airplane on both concrete, and unpaved runways with soil strength not lower than 6,5 kgf/cm2.
The gears of the frontal and basic undercarriage have two wheels. The frontal gear is of lever type, it is retractable in flight direction into the bay in forward fuselage. The lever- type landing gears of the basic undercarriage are retractable in the transversal direction into the bays of landing gear fairing.
The weight of the frontal landing gear without the wheels is 78,8 kg.
The weight of the basic landing gear without the wheels – 102,6 kg.
The main construction materials which is applied for manufacture of the undercarriage assemblies are high-strength titanium and steel.
