Vega main engine assembly

The main engine assembly is a part of the liquid Attitude and Vernier Upper Module, the fourth stage of the European VEGA launch vehicle. The assembly is designed under the contract with AVIO (ESA) based on serial engine assemblies.

The main engine assembly:

• - gives thrust;
• - provides pitch and yaw steering;
• - maneuvers the Attitude and Vernier Upper Module;
• - de-orbits the Attitude and Vernier Upper Module;

The assembly uses a pressure-fed propellant supply system.
